Affiliation:

Agnes Water Baptist Church is a constituted church of the Baptist Union of Queensland.

Vision:

We aim to bring people to Jesus, to help them to grow to Christ-like maturity and equip them for their ministry in the Church and mission in the World, so that God may be magnified.

We seek to be an outreach Church with an emphasis on community involvement and invitation to services. Our services will be relevant, with biblical content designed to nurture and bless.

Beliefs:

The Divine Inspiration as Supreme Authority of the Old and New Testaments.
The Bible as our sole Authority in all matters of Faith and Conduct.
The Existence of One God in Three Persons – The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
The Deity and Humanity of Jesus Christ, who lived a Sinless Life and who, by His Death, Resurrection and Ascension to the Right Hand of the Father in Heaven is the Way of Salvation for ALL People from the consequences and power of Sin.
The Necessity of Repentance towards God and Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to obtain Salvation.
Baptism by Immersion in Water, as an Open Declaration of this Life change.
The Holy Spirit living in all who come in Repentance to the Father and have Faith in Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit who gives new Life, Empowers for Service and Gives Spiritual Gifts for the Building of the Church.
That Christ was Begotten by the Holy Spirit, Born of the Virgin Mary, and is True God and True Man.
That Man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also Spiritual Death which is separation from God; and that ALL Human Beings are born with a Sinful Nature, being Sinners in Thought, Word and Deed.
That the Lord Jesus Christ Died for Our Sins according to the Scriptures, as a Representative and Substitutionary Sacrifice, and ALL who commit themselves to Him are Justified on the Grounds of His Shed Blood.
The Resurrection for the Crucified Body of Our Lord, in His Ascension to the Right Hand of the Father in Heaven, and in His Present Life for us as High Priest and Advocate.
The Personal Imminent Return of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to receive His Church and to judge the World.
