Our
Leaders
We believe Christ is the head of the church, and He exercises His Lordship directly over individual Christians and churches. The church membership makes decisions at quarterly meetings, according to how God has led them. On a day to day basis, the church entrusts the following elected leaders to represent their views and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor
Rob Rodgers
Rob has been an ordained Baptist Pastor since 1998. He is married to Michelle (Shelley). He was called to the role of pastor at AWBC in April 2023. He is responsible for teaching and preaching, and provides general oversight of the church's leadership team. He plays the guitar and leads worship at times.
Church Elder
Matt Haggith
Matt first served as Deacon, until his appointment as Elder in 2024. You'll see Matt most Sundays in the Worship team - and often sharing the message, too. He is also involved with the Youth Ministries. Matt is a talented artist, and uses his artwork to illustrate Bible teachings.
