Hosea 1 - Starting a new series in the interesting book of Hosea, we look at some unspeakable things. First an unspeakable marriage which shows the depth of God's pain when his people are unfaithful, then some unspeakable names, which show us God's justice. But the chapter ends by looking at an unspeakable grace, and how God will turn the curse around and reunite his people with each other and himself.

Matthew 14:13-21- For 'Be Love' Sunday we take a deep look at the problem of poverty and the gospel imperative to 'be love' to those in the third world without the basic necessities. To do this we take a look at how Jesus responded to incredible need when he saw it, in the feeding of the five thousand.

2 Peter 3:1-10: We are waiting for the return of our Lord and Saviour, but according to Peter our mindset matters. We shouldn't take on an attitude of "nothing changes", and live as if god doesn't intervene in the world, nor should we take on the opposite mindset that "nothing matters", because God will intervene and the world will burn. As Christians, we should also be cautious to avoid an "us vs. them" mindset in this time of delay.

2 Peter 2:1-13: Peter takes aim at the false teachers of his day in a way which is instructive for the false teacher of ours. He remind his readers of the certainty of false teachers, encouraging them to prepare themselves and recognise them, before letting God ultimately judge them.

2 Peter 1:16-21 - In this ongoing series through 2 Peter, we begin to focus on a theme that is central to the letter, the kingship of Christ. Peter argues that this truth is reliable because those that testify to it, the Apostles of the New Testament and the Prophets of the Old Testament, are speaking the very words of God.
